‘Call for Applications’ under new €500 million Climate Action Fund

July 2018

As part of the ‘Project Ireland 2040’ plan, the government announced a €500 million fund to help deal with climate change and it’s challenges. The Climate Action Fund will support initiatives that help Ireland  meet its EU and International climate and energy targets.

Rather than allocating the money to Government Departments, the funds will be allocated to the best  and most relevent projects in an area or community. The funds are available to a wide range of bodies and organisations in both the public and private sectors, including, local government, businesses, educational institutions, chambers of commerce and more. More informaation is available on the Department of Communications, Climate Action & Environment's website.
