CER decides on Domestic Electricity Export Tariff
The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) has announced its decision regarding the tariff for the export of electricity to the National Grid. The decision paper can be downloaded here.
Summary CER 09/033:-
- Available to Domestic customers of PES only
- Independent Power Providers are encouraged to make similar offers
- ESB Customer Supply requested to address taxation issues that restrict extending the export tariff to SME’s, to enable the export payment to include SME’s by 2009 / 2010 tariff year.
- Value of exported electricity paid annually by ESB Customer Supply to its domestic customers through Electronic Funds Transfer
- PES export tariff to commence at 9.00 c/kWh and will be available from 30th September 2009
