County Clare Integrated Strategy on Energy
and Climate Change 2010-2012
On the 14th February 2011 Clare County Council will launch The County Clare Integrated Strategy on Energy and Climate Change 2010-2012.
The County Clare Integrated Strategy on Energy and Climate Change 2010-2012 is one of the strategies developed in response to the priorities identified by the Clare County Development Board.
The combined effects of fossil fuel dependence, high CO2 emissions and increasing costs for fuel will have the affect of arresting the countries and counties ability to create wealth and support our society, as well as continuing to damage our environmental heritage. One solution to this scenario has been identified and is being actively pursued by every country: The Low Carbon Society and Economy. Such an economy is defined by its use of local renewable energy resources.
